2018Workshop on Structures and Propertiesof HEAs
Conference Introduction
The 2018 Workshop on Structures and Properties of HEAs (WSPHEAs) is one of the small-sized series of meetings. The workshop aims to gather prominent scholars/research groups around the world to incubate possible future collaborations in prospective research topics of high entropy alloys. Insightful understanding of basic sciences and industrial applications of high entropy alloys will be thoroughly discussed.
The first workshop was held in Nantou Taiwan, November 10-12, 2016, and the second workshop was held in Hong Kong, March 8-9, 2017. This is the third workshop to be held in Changsha, April 19-20.
The workshop will be organized by The State Key Laboratory of Powder Metallurgy, Central South University. The State Key Laboratory of Powder Metallurgy has long been involved in developing new materials for various important industries through powder metallurgy, including braking and wear-resistant materials, ferrous automobile components, hard alloys, tungsten alloys, intermetallics and other functional materials. The lab has been well equipped for developing new manufacturing technologies, including gas atomization, spark plasma sintering, selective laser sintering, electron beam melting, hot isostatic pressing and other most advanced powder metallurgy technologies.
The workshop will take place in Meixi Lake (梅溪湖), which is now the most modernized district in Changsha City. The lake is located beyond the famous Yuelu Mountain, and is a beautiful resort for sightseeing and recreation. The Meixi Lake Hotel is a new luxury hotel with a standard of five-star, and is full of comfort and romance.
